Job summary

Alberta Health Services in High Prairie is seeking a Health Care Aide to join a collaborative care team. You will support residents with daily living activities, maintain comfort, safety, and dignity in a patient-centered environment within home care and health facilities.

Casual/relief position with AUPE AUX union, minimum salary $26.43/hour and maximum $29.58/hour, plus a remote retention allowance and flexible shifts including days, evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Active or eligible for registration or practice permit with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA) as a Health Care Aide.
• Proof of education or completion of Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal assistance by supporting activities of daily living and delivering support services.
• Work with patients, families, and caregivers across home, community, and health care facilities.
• Assist with hygiene, nutrition, mobility, recreation, and safety and observe health and wellbeing.
