Job summary

Compass Group Canada is hiring a Dietary Aide in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. You will help prepare and serve meals to residents or patients in an assisted living or medical facility, following therapeutic diets and portion standards.

This role requires food safety knowledge, ability to work with a team, and good time-management. You will maintain dining areas, follow HACCP and WHMIS guidelines, and may assist with special catering events.

Qualifications

• Valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent.
• Experience as dietary aide or in hospitality/customer service.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Able to prepare meals according to instructions.
• Good time-management and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Physical ability to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist in basic food preparation and serve meals in accordance with therapeutic diets and portion standards.
• Setting, clearing, cleaning, and sanitizing dining spaces.
• Maintain and perform cleaning duties or, per posted schedule for that day.
• Monitor and restock service areas.
• Observe HACCP guidelines to ensure safe food handling/preparation methods.
• Follow WHMIS and MSDS guidelines using chemicals, cleaning, and sanitizing agents.
• Support with special function catering as delegated.
