Job summary

Inclusion Langley Society, based in Langley, BC, is hiring a Community Support Worker for Supported Living Services. The role provides one-to-one, person-centered support to an individual in home and community settings, including personal care and health needs. Qualifications

• Diploma in Community Social Services or related field (experience considered).
• At least 1 year of direct support experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Knowledge of person-centered practices and positive behaviour support (training an asset).
• Experience in community-based settings is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Promote dignity and person-centered practices.
• Assist with daily living, health-related needs and personal care.
• Support skill development and community participation.
• Maintain confidential records and documentation.
• Collaborate with families, community partners and professionals.
• Provide safe, inclusive environment for individuals, staff and community.
• Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development.
• Support recreational activities (hiking, swimming, exercise).
