Job description

Altom Transport, a family-owned leader in bulk liquid transportation, is seeking dedicated and professional CDL A Tanker Drivers for Local, Regional, and Over-the-Road (OTR) positions. Job Description:

As a CDL A Tanker Driver, you will be responsible for transporting liquid bulk materials safely and efficiently, ensuring timely and secure deliveries based on your preferred driving route—Local, Regional, or Over the Road.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Safely operate tanker trucks to transport liquid bulk materials to and from customer locations.
  2. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  3. Load and unload tanker trucks using hoses or pumps while following all safety protocols.
  4. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, inspections, and incidents.
  5. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules.
  6. Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding the transportation of hazardous materials.
  7. Maintain a steady workload by meeting mileage or hour requirements to contribute to the overall success of the operation.
  8. Willingness to be available 24/7 when needed.
  9. Flexible time off based on scheduling and operational needs.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Valid CDL Class A with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements.
  2. At least 23 years of age.
  3. Compliance with all DOT requirements.
  4. A clean driving record demonstrating a commitment to safety and excellence.
  5. Ability to perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading tanker trucks.
