Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in personal care and support.
  • Certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Geriatric care required.

Job description

Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

Language Requirement: Hebrew

Work Setting:

  • Room and board provided
  • Work in employer's/client's home
  • Relocation costs covered by employer

Tasks:

  • Administer bedside and personal care
  • Administer medications
  • Assist clients in water (i.e., pool)
  • Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
  • Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
  • Collect specimens
  • Feed or assist in feeding
  • Launder clothing and household linens
  • Mend clothing and linens
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Plan therapeutic diets and menus
  • Provide companionship
  • Shop for food and household supplies
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals
  • Cook
  • Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher
  • Transport patients to hospital or other medical facility for further medical care
  • Provide spiritual and moral guidance to members of a religious faith
  • Perform administrative tasks for a religious community
  • Conduct religious services
  • Assist at services of public worship and religious rites

Certificates, Licences, Memberships, and Courses:

  • Behaviour Management Certification
  • Geriatric Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate

Security and Safety:

  • Criminal record check
  • Reference required
  • Driver's validity licence check

Transportation / Travel Information:

  • Valid driver's licence
