Job summary

The Community Support Manager leads family-centered, community-based programs that promote children's development and well-being, guiding an interdisciplinary team and ensuring trauma-informed, culturally responsive services.

Applicants should have 5+ years in family support or early learning with strong leadership, budgeting, and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Social Work and ACSW registration.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence and vehicle with insurance.
  • First Aid/CPR, Suicide Intervention, Nonviolent crisis intervention, Trauma-informed Care, Harm Reduction.
  • 5+ years leadership experience and 5+ years in family support or community services.
  • Experience leading interdisciplinary teams, managing budgets, and meeting funder requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide values-based leadership, supervision, coaching, and professional development to an interdisciplinary Community Support team.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, employee engagement, and performance management.
  • Oversee delivery and continuous improvement of family-centered services, including intake, case management, coaching, outreach, literacy, and arts-based programming.
  • Ensure trauma-informed, culturally responsive, inclusive service delivery.
  • Monitor program quality, caseloads, outcomes, and resource utilization for continuous improvement.
  • Lead risk management, crisis response, incident reporting, and compliance with policies and funder requirements.
  • Develop partnerships with schools and community organizations to strengthen referrals and coordination.
  • Manage program budgets, staffing, planning, and reporting for sustainability.
  • Analyze data and stakeholder feedback to guide planning and strategic decisions.
  • Contribute to Early Learning Services Management Team for planning and innovation.
