New Brunswick Social Pediatrics Inc. (NBSP) is a Saint John-based charity committed to improving the health and well-being of children and families facing poverty and adversity. We operate a community social pediatrics clinic, offer wraparound programs for children and youth, and collaborate with families and community partners to address the root causes of poor health and social outcomes.
We are proud recipients of theSaint John Regional Hospital Foundation's Community Impact Award, which allows us to launch a new pilot initiative: placing a dedicated health liaison in two priority community schools to support early identification, intervention, and connection to care.
Position Summary
The Community Social Pediatrics School and Health Liaison will play a vital role in bridging the gap between education, healthcare, and social supports. This position will be embedded withinSaint John the Baptist/King Edward SchoolandCentennial School, working directly with school staff, families, and NBSP's clinical team to support children experiencing barriers related to poverty, trauma, and limited access to care.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a first-of-its-kind initiative in New Brunswick, improving outcomes for children and shaping a model of care that could be replicated across the province.
