Qualifications

Job description

We at Seine Pharmacy have embraced the expanded scope of practice for community pharmacists in Manitoba and are seeking our next team member: our Community Pharmacist.

About Seine Pharmacy

Seine Pharmacy is an independent pharmacy that is locally owned. We have been operating for over 50 years, and we service the residents of the town of Ste-Anne and its surrounding areas. Our pharmacy is located within the Seine Medical Center where we work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.

Our operating hours are from 9am-6pm, Monday to Friday and from 9am to 12pm on Saturdays.


Your Community Pharmacist duties will include:
  • Patient counseling on selection and use of non-prescription medication
  • Ensuring accurate pharmacotherapy
  • Compounding prescribed pharmaceutical products
  • Advising patients and health care professionals on the indications, contra-indications, adverse effects, drug interactions and dosage of medications
  • Maintaining medication profiles of customers including registry of poisons and narcotic and controlled drugs
  • Ensuring proper preparation, packaging, distribution and storage of vaccines, serums, biologicals and other drugs and pharmaceuticals
  • Working collaboratively with patients’ physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure positive drug therapy outcomes
  • Conducting health screening clinics
  • Engaging in community outreach programs,
  • Conducting immunization clinics
  • Performing medication reviews and medication management services as per the provincial standards
Requirements:
  • Licensed and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba
  • Strong sense of professionalism
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Superior patient and physician relation skills
  • Injection Certification
  • Excellent leadership and performance management skills an asset
  • Additional accreditation such as a CDE or a Geriatric Pharmacist an asset
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Working experience with Kroll Pharmacy dispensing software an asset
