We are seeking casual PSWs or Caregivers for community clients in the Innisfil/New Tecumseth area. The ideal candidates drive and are comfortable driving clients in their vehicle to run errands, go to appointments, etc. Scheduling is flexible, but open availability is an asset.

Job Benefits:

• Pay starting at $19-$21 depending on experience

The successful candidate’s areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and personal care including eating, dressing, transferring, toileting, hygiene, grooming, and bathing as per client's care plan
• Driving clients to outings, appointments, to run errands, etc.
• Supporting clients with assigned physiotherapy exercises daily
• Preparing meals for clients and completing light housekeeping as needed
• Providing medication support and management
• Providing cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support
• Maintaining open communication with clients and their families
• Monitoring care plans and adding detailed documentation with any changes and updates
• Responding to all emergency situations
• All other duties, as assigned

Key qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to:

• PSW certification from a public college/learning centre OR additional NACC certification is preferred*
• Caregiver, HSW, or PSW experience is required*
• Access to a reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license
• Valid CPR/First Aid certification
• Completion of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check
• Satisfactory professional references
• Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions
• Must be able to anticipate problems and use sound judgment and tact in handling confidential matters
