We are seeking casual PSWs or Caregivers for a community client in the Beaverton area. The ideal candidate should be comfortable running errands. Scheduling is flexible, but open availability is an asset.

Job Benefits:

  • Pay starting at $19-$21 depending on experience
  • Benefits plan available after working 30+ hours per week*
  • 4% vacation pay on every pay

The successful candidate’s areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and personal care including eating, dressing, transferring, toileting, hygiene, grooming, and bathing as per client's care plan
  • Preparing meals for clients and completing light housekeeping as needed
  • Providing cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support
  • Maintaining open communication with clients and their families
  • Monitoring care plans and adding detailed documentation with any changes and updates
  • Responding to all emergency situations
  • All other duties, as assigned

Key qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to:

  • PSW certification from a public college/learning centre OR additional NACC certification is preferred*
  • Caregiver, HSW, or PSW experience is required*
  • Access to a reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license
  • Valid CPR/First Aid certification
  • Completion of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check within the last 6 months
  • Satisfactory professional references
  • Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to anticipate problems and use sound judgment and tact in handling confidential matters
