Community Outreach Worker (Permanent, Part-Time)

The Opportunity

Are you passionate about connecting with and supporting individuals living in the DTES community? Do you possess strong interpersonal skills, a client-centered approach, and a desire to work within a Christian Organization? Are you adaptable and able to work effectively in a multi-ethnic and socially diverse environment? If so, we have an opportunity for you!

This position's starting hourly salary range is $26.26-$28.70 per hour. It is a permanent, part-time role (22.5 hours per week), with the following schedule: Friday – Sunday (hours may vary depending on operational needs). For a full job description, please click here.

You will frequently engage with clients facing crisis situations stemming from various challenges. Support from fellow staff members will be readily available as needed.

Minimum Requirements
  • Be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Demonstrate compatibility with our Core Values
  • Agree with our Statement of Faith
  • Willing to provide, as a condition of employment, a current criminal record check with vulnerable sector search if you are the successful candidate
  • Possess a valid, unrestricted driver’s license and submit a current driver’s abstract
