Job summary

Boyle Street Community Services invites applications for an Occupational Therapist (OT) in the InterD Program in Edmonton. The role is full-time, permanent, with a 4-days-a-week schedule and university partnership responsibilities.

You will conduct assessments, develop care plans, support harm reduction, mentor OT students, and collaborate with inner-city agencies to coordinate community-based fieldwork. The position requires trauma-informed practice and strong documentation.

Qualifications

  • Registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists is required.
  • Experience with vulnerable populations is preferred.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and harm reduction principles.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct occupational therapy assessments, develop care plans, and monitor client progress toward individual goals.
  • Develop and lead regular groups focusing on life skills, independence, and well-being.
  • Support clients in navigating healthcare, housing, income support, and community services.
  • Provide trauma-informed, harm reduction-focused care and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
