Job summary

AMHS-KFLA invites applications for a Clinical Counsellor based in Kingston, ON. The role provides evidence-based individual and group psychotherapy for clients with addiction and/or mental health concerns in the KFLA communities.

As a member of frontline teams, you will contribute to client support, assessment, and structured treatment planning, with flexible hours and opportunities to grow within the Addiction and Mental Health field.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Clinical or Counselling Psychology, Social Work or Occupational Therapy.
• Two years post-graduate experience working with individuals who live with a serious mental illness, providing direct time limited therapeutic intervention.
• Knowledge of trauma informed therapies and working from a client-centred focus.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidenced-based individual and group psychotherapy for community clients with serious mental health concerns.
• Develop and implement brief structured treatment plans in collaboration with clients.
• Engage with multidisciplinary teams to support clients in Kingston and surrounding areas.
