About the role

Location : Ottawa ON - hybrid

Travel Expectations : Within Ottawa ON region as required

As a Community Integration Specialist, you'll be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with key community organizations in your designated quadrant. The Community Integration Specialist engages local services to support clients in addressing barriers to employment and identifying appropriate routes towards employment. As the lead for integration in their quadrant, the CIS will develop expertise on the range of services and support available locally.

What you'll do

  • Communicate regularly with community partners to provide updates on project progress, successes, and challenges
  • Collaborate with managers and local operational teams to assess client needs
  • Identify opportunities for engagement with local tables, working groups, and forums to promote the EO and WCG offer
  • Participate in and contribute to relevant forums, committees, and meetings, promoting transparency and a collaborative multi-agency support approach
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting teamwork, accountability, and service excellence
  • Prepare and present reports, summaries, and analyses to stakeholders and senior leadership, documenting project outcomes and impact
  • Act as the key contact for community providers, ensuring queries on referrals or partnership aspects are resolved promptly (within 48 hours, or 24 hours when possible)

Qualifications : What you bring

  • Bilingual (English and French)
  • Experience and knowledge of local services supporting diverse inclusion groups
  • Understanding of public sector and commissioned services in the local context
  • Experience working in outcomes/target-based environments
  • Ability to work autonomously and be a self-starter
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build effective relationships with internal and external partners
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of stakeholders, from CEOs to frontline staff
  • Capacity to build partnerships and identify collaboration opportunities
  • Flexibility and adaptability to different organizational cultures
  • Resilient, persistent, sales-oriented, personable, and engaging
  • High standards of advocacy, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging and influencing diverse audiences
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting, focused on measuring initiative effectiveness
