Job summary

The HOME Society in Abbotsford, BC is seeking a part-time Community Inclusion Worker to support individuals with diverse abilities in developing life skills and community engagement.

You will work 10 hours per week (Wednesdays and Thursdays) in a local setting, with tasks focused on promoting independence and well-being. The role requires English language proficiency and follows the collective agreement for pay.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in physical, social, emotional and daily life skills development.
• Support individuals with intellectual, developmental and/or physical diversabilities and other medical needs, including addictions.
• Establish and maintain a warm, personal relationship with each person served and engage family, friends and neighbours in the person’s life.
