We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated Community Housing Support Worker who demonstrates our values of compassion, accountability, responsiveness, and empowerment; to our clients, families, and each other.
The Community Housing Support Worker is a mobile position providing eviction prevention services to participants and their families residing in community housing sites. This position supports clients, to reduce evictions and tenants need to access emergency shelter, and works with tenants and property managers to problem solve when tenancies are at risk. The CHSW position is 100% mobile; the worker must be in the community connecting with tenants, property managers, and Region of Halton staff. The CHSW is required to travel across the Region of Halton, including Halton Hills, Milton, Oakville, and Burlington. This includes working on-site in community housing buildings to engage clients accordingly.
This position is a unionized, full-time, permanent position. The rate of pay is $26.88 per hour. Hours per week are 40.
