We are seeking two casual individuals to join our team! The Community Housing Support Worker (CHSW) supports individuals in our Community Living Services programs with neurodevelopmental disabilities and complex neurobehavioural issues. Complex neurobehavioural issues may include, but are not limited to, substance misuse, struggles maintaining housing, dual diagnosis, and challenging behaviour(s) that put the individual at increased risk of criminal justice involvement / being criminalized. The CHSW works in collaboration with the Quality Service Lead and / or the Manager of Community Living Services in assessing and establishing service delivery goals (occupational, recreational, social, housing and financial) with those served. Where appropriate, they incorporate the input of family members and other community stakeholders. Position requires working independently with the person served in their home and in the community. This person will execute their position in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Core values of the John Howard Society Okanagan & Kootenay.
