Job description

The Community Health Nurse Supervisor (CHNS) supervises the Health Promotion Team and provides a comprehensive range of core nursing functions and services including community/public health, health promotion, and disease prevention. Service is provided to families, groups, individuals, and to the Neyaashiinigmiing community as a whole. Health promotion, client advocacy, disease and injury prevention are the main goals of the CHNS. Support is also provided to those with curative, urgent, and emergent needs.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nursing Diploma or Degree from an accredited Nursing School.
  • Licensed with the College of Nurses as a Registered Nurse in good standing.
  • Proof of Professional Liability Insurance Coverage
  • Access to reliable transportation for work purposes
  • Willingness to provide recent Criminal Background and Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Willingness to provide up to date Immunisation Record, TB status, and medical assessment

Equivalencies that include a combination of education and experience may be considered.
