Job summary

Government of Nunavut is seeking a Community Health Nurse in Taloyoak to deliver comprehensive community health services within the Primary Health care framework. The role involves education, prevention and restoration activities in collaboration with the health team and the community.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Health Programs, the Community Health Nurse (CHN) assists clients in promotion, protection and restoration of health, to educate about, prevent and reduce the incidence of disease, disability and death. The incumbent provides a comprehensive community health service in conjunction with the health care team and works within the context of Primary Health care to improve the capacity of clients to adapt to, respond to or control, life's challenges, and changes.
