Hydro One Thunder Bay is seeking a specialist to improve community access to electricity affordability programs (OESP, LEAP) and renewable projects (REINDEER) by building strong relationships with communities, leadership, and external partners.

The role emphasizes coordinating community meetings, developing informative materials, and delivering customer programs within regulatory and company frameworks to support safe, affordable energy for remote communities.

Qualifications

• Requires excellent communications skills - written and verbal.
• Requires knowledge of English to conduct discussions with external contacts and to deliver presentations.
• Requires knowledge of First Nations culture, values and history to enable close and trusting relationship building with communities.
• Requires knowledge in computer applications and processes related to business planning and information reporting systems.
• Requires experience with development and integration of regulated utility business processes and customer demographics.
• Requires understanding of business planning process and performance measures.
• This knowledge is normally acquired through four years of University training and up to 6 years experience with First Nations initiatives.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain relationships with community leadership and Tribal Councils within Remotes service territory.
• Deliver Hydro One Remote Communities Customer Programs including conservation and affordability initiatives.
• Coordinate and deliver communications and educational programming on energy conservation and renewable energy.
• Prepare materials for meetings and briefings for internal and external stakeholders.
• Track and report progress on community programs and contracts.
• Identify and resolve customer/community issues through collaborative relationships.
