The CEC Manager will have a background in harm reduction and ties to harm reduction programs across Tennessee, along with research training. Responsibilities include developing and coordinating CEC trainings, serving as a liaison between researchers and harm reduction programs, leading recruitment efforts for the THREAD data collection, and recruiting CEC members statewide. The manager will also facilitate CEC meetings, provide ongoing research consultation, and work with the IRB coordinator to manage IRB access and review submissions. Travel within the state (25%) and remote work (75%) are required.

Daily Operations
  • Recruit and train CEC members
  • Convene research review meetings
  • Recruit researchers and harm reduction organizations for data collection and system utilization
  • Establish access to eProtocol for THREAD partners
  • Serve as liaison to ensure ethical research practices
  • Develop THREAD data capture system in partnership with evaluators and project directors
  • Facilitate annual harm reduction client surveys
  • Disseminate project outcomes and develop reports for the funding agency
  • Other duties as assigned
