Job summary

• Experience in urban planning or development administration preferred.
• Knowledge of zoning bylaws, Official Community Plan, and land-use policies.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as Development Officer, administering the Zoning Bylaw, OCP, and related planning policies.
• Review and decide on development permit applications under delegated authority.
• Process discretionary uses, variances, subdivisions, and servicing agreements.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for Town Council.
• Ensure compliance with provincial laws, bylaws, and land-use policies.
• Serve as primary contact for developers, builders, and land-use inquiries.
