Your Opportunity

We are seeking a bold, strategic, and collaborative leader with strong business acumen to foster a people-first culture, deliver transformational projects, and focus on operational excellence and efficiency. Reporting to the Business Operating Unit Leader (BOUL) for Infrastructure, the Community Development Business Leader (CD BL) will be responsible for leading, managing, and growing the CD business line in North America through strong financial performance, effective marketing & business development, client relationships, talent attraction and development, resource management, and project delivery. The CD BL will inspire and optimize team performance, leading to innovative solutions that exceed client expectations and enhance Stantec’s market position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Responsible for the annual business plan and budget, reviewing monthly financial statements, and working with regional business leaders to meet financial targets.
  • Growth Leadership: Drive growth through marketing and business development, maintain pursuit lists, identify new markets and clients, and participate in industry associations.
  • People Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team, support and mentor leaders, promote cross-functional collaboration, oversee resource and talent management, and uphold a high-performance, ethical culture.
  • Health and Safety: Promote a strong health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with HSSE systems.
  • Quality and Innovation: Drive project delivery using innovative technology and ensure compliance with project management frameworks.
Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree with at least twenty years of related experience; understanding of the broader Infrastructure market is an asset.

Work Environment

Typical office environment with computer work; field work may include exposure to the elements.
