Job summary

Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) is seeking a Community Development and Stakeholder Relations Manager to create employment connections and career opportunities for military spouses/partners. You will build relationships with national employers and lead virtual and in-person training and hiring events to empower careers for civilian spouses/partners.

You will also drive continuous improvement, enhance digital platforms, streamline backend processes, and collect evaluation data

Qualifications

  • College diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Marketing, Communication or related field.
  • Several years of experience in stakeholder management, event planning, project management, marketing and business communication.
  • Experience in program management and development.
  • Experience in generating and managing a network of community stakeholders.
  • Experience researching economic and labour market trends and opportunities.
  • Experience drafting, interpreting, and editing policies and procedures.
  • Experience liaising with corporate executives.
  • Experience creating and conducting presentations and workshops.
  • Experience planning and delivering national and regional events.
  • Experience writing reports, briefing notes and other communications.
  • Experience developing strategic plans and outcome measurement.
  • Experience preparing agreements.
  • Experience creating marketing plans.

THE ROLE

Under the direction of an Employment and Entrepreneurship Programs Manager, the Community Development and Stakeholder Relations Manager will play an important role in creating employment connections and career development opportunities for Canadian military spouses/partners as they navigate the pressures of military life.

As part of the Military Family Services team, you will build and maintain business relationships supporting a network of national employers while leading virtual and in-person training and hiring events aimed at building professional connections and empowering careers for civilian military spouses/partners. You are a strong communicator, both in speaking and writing, and you will prepare and deliver presentations and other communications tailored to audiences. You will collaborate closely with colleagues and community partners, stay informed with emerging labour market trends and be responsive to stakeholders and clients alike.

You also lead continuous improvement initiatives, including enhancing digital platforms, streamlining backend processes, and collecting and using evaluation data to improve efficiency and client experience. Your work will inform broader system improvements, highlight emerging needs, and contribute to strategic outcomes that enhance the resilience of military families.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses

College diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Marketing, Communication or a related field AND several years of experience in stakeholder management, event planning, project management, marketing and business communication
