Job Task Analysis - Support Worker

Physical Health Assessment - Support Worker

  • Multiple permanent part-time positions available
  • Band 1 : $64,107 per annum pro rata + superannuation (non-qualified)
  • Band 2 : $66,802 per annum pro rata + superannuation (qualified)
  • Location : Residential homes and the community in and around the Kingston municipality

We have the following positions available

We are looking for support workers interested in working an average of five hours each day over a four- or five-day week.

Opportunities on offer :

  • Band 1 : Domestic duties only – no formal qualifications required
  • Band 2 : Cert III qualified or Cert IV qualified

About the role

As a support worker within the AccessCare team at the City of Kingston, you’ll have the opportunity to assist individuals of all ages, including the elderly and people with disabilities, to remain living independently in their own homes.

Depending on your training, your responsibilities will include :

  • Providing domestic assistance to our clients in their homes (such as light housework or assisting with some meal preparation tasks)
  • Assisting clients in accessing the community, such as accompanying them to the supermarket
  • Providing personal care

Your Skills and Experience

You will bring exceptional interpersonal skills to foster authentic relationships with our clients. With a naturally kind and compassionate disposition, you are genuinely dedicated to ensuring that our most vulnerable community members feel safe, respected, and heard.

To be successful in this role, you will also need :

  • Level 2 First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current driver's license and your own registered and insured vehicle
  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support / Aged Care / Disability (for Band 2 role)
