This posting will be used to fill 1 (one) term position until March 31, 2027, working 75 hours bi-weekly. This posting will be used to establish a 12-month eligibility list which will be used to fill anticipatory permanent vacancies within the Continuing Care branch.

This opportunity
As a Community Care Resource Nurse with the Yukon Home Care Program, you will provide client-centered home care services that support Yukoners’ independence and quality of life through individualized care plans covering acute, chronic, and palliative care. Working within a collaborative interdisciplinary team—including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, licensed practical nurses, and home support workers—you will deliver high-quality care based on standardized assessments. This role requires a dynamic, organized individual with strong clinical and teaching skills to enhance service delivery and build capacity within nursing and home support teams, fostering a supportive, collaborative environment focused on professional development and shared success.

Essential qualifications
Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the qualifications below. Selections for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.
- Currently registered or eligible for registration with the Yukon Registered Nurses Association (YRNA)
- Recent experience in adult education, including facilitating education sessions, orienting, precepting and mentoring nurses
- Recent experience with program development, implementation and evaluation within a healthcare setting
- Recent clinical nursing experience within a community setting
- Clinical nursing experience with palliative care would be considered an asset

- Clinical Education: ability to plan, develop, implement, evaluate and coordinate clinical training based on nursing best practices that meet the needs of adult learners
- Critical Thinking & Navigating Conflict: excellent critical thinking and conflict management skills
- Cultural Humility: strong commitment to cultural humility, actively engaging in self-reflection and continuous learning to provide respectful and equitable care to a diverse client population
- Digital Health Literacy: proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other relevant digital health technologies, with the ability to education and support staff on their effective use

Conditions of employment
You must meet the following conditions before being hired, or within the time frame noted.
- TB screening
- Vulnerable Sector RCMP security clearance
- Current registration with the Yukon Registered Nurses Association (YRNA)
- WHMIS 2015
- Valid Class 5 Driver's license without daylight restrictions
- CPR Level C with AED (completed within last 30 months)
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (completed within last 30 months)
Job Requirements
This job requires you to perform, and/or be exposed to, the following:
- Willingness to travel in the Yukon
- Exposure to pets, second-hand smoke, latex products, flowers and/or plants and other irritants while in client homes
- May include evening, weekend coverage or statutory holiday coverage
