Job description

Reporting to the Director, Community & Continuing Education, the Community Campus Manager is responsible for supervising daily operations of the campus and coordinates a wide range of administrative functions required by the academic and service departments. The role ensures a positive and healthy learning environment where employees and students can contribute and develop. The Community Campus Manager supports, monitors, and promotes all activities that provide opportunities for the growth of CNC’s strategic partnerships, and relationships, both internally and externally, and supports CNC’s overall strategic plan. The Community Campus Manager works collaboratively with all college departments to ensure that all local operations and functions are delivered effectively, efficiently, and in accordance with College policies and procedures. The position also serves as the leadership administrator for the college with local community groups and organizations.

NATURE&SCOPE:
• In support of Community & Continuing Education leadership, the Community Campus Manager provides day-to-day supervision of assigned local staff and works collaboratively with leaders and managers in other college departments to provide consistent direction on work functions, processes, and standards. This may include supervising staff in a matrix reporting structure.
• The Community Campus Manager is responsible for developing a productive, inclusive, and collaborative Community Campus team, including employees who may report to different supervisors.
• To ensure the local campus operates effectively, the Community Campus Manager fosters communication, collaboration, and cooperation with all departments across the college. This includes developing effective working relationships with leaders and managers across the College.
• The Community Campus Manager liaises with and maintains relationships with Indigenous Rights Holders, the local community, municipal and regional governments, educational and economic partners, and local employers.
• Through effective relationship building, the Community Campus Manager acts as a conduit of information used to identify educational opportunities and programs for the communities supported by the campus.
• The Community Campus Manager is involved in community initiatives and represents the campus at community events.
• Working with relevant college departments, the Community Campus Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating campus events. This includes organizing and leading campus working groups to plan and deliver campus events.
• The Community Campus Manager acts as a champion and supports the College through the facilitation of campus-specific and college information sharing with prospective and current students, members of the public, employees, departments, and external organizations.
• The Community Campus Manager collaboratively works to support the provision of community and continuing education opportunities, supports, and experiences to learners within the communities that the campus supports. This may include also supporting Academic Schools in local programming, as required.
• The Community Campus Manager monitors campus services and recommends improvements for operational procedures to support effective and efficient service delivery.
• The Community Campus Manager is responsible for the financial management of the assigned Community Campus, including operational and project budgets as well as oversight of financial transactions within alignment of college financial directions.
• The Community Campus Manager will be part of a team actively engaged in contributing to and accomplishing the vision, mission, and goals of the College and in supporting the aspirations and needs of our learners.
• The Community Campus Manager will promote a positive work atmosphere by interacting and communicating in a professional manner that demonstrates mutual respect with students, colleagues, Rights Holders, the community and education partners.
