Saint Elizabeth is seeking a Communicative Disorders Assistant to assist Speech Language Pathologists in providing intervention for communication disorders. You'll work primarily with a pediatric population under supervision, implementing programs, collecting data, and preparing reports.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a Communicative Disorders Assistant diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills are required.
  • Knowledge of supportive conversation techniques and group facilitation skills preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) is necessary.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a community team is essential.

Job description

Position Summary

This position will involve assisting Speech Language Pathologists in the provision of intervention for communication disorders in the community setting, under the clinical direction and general supervision of the Speech-Language Pathologist.

Responsibilities
  • Implement intervention programs under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist for a pediatric population.
  • Collect, compute and display therapy data based on observational training.
  • Troubleshoot and/or perform routinely required maintenance procedures on therapy materials.
  • Prepare written and oral progress reports.
