The Calgary Airport Authority (Calgary Airports) offers students meaningful work experiences and opportunities to connect with employees, stakeholders, and peers. Our program helps students gain valuable industry experience, knowledge, and contacts through full-time roles in their field.

Our Team

The Digital Communications team manages internal and external communication strategies supporting our business plans. We focus on research, action, and creating impactful outcomes for our partners. We seek an ambitious student to support initiatives that enhance experiences at YYC.

What You Will Do

Under the supervision of the Manager, Social, Digital & Creative, you will support web, media, and social media content strategies. Responsibilities include creating content, supporting a brand transition, and assisting with planning and executing events such as fundraisers, media events, and townhalls.

Responsibilities Include
  • Facilitating the transition to our new brand through document management
  • Creating and managing digital assets like photos and videos
  • Managing the YYC Communications inbox and updating our website and intranet, including drafting internal articles
  • Designing graphics aligned with our new brand for intranet banners, social images, and website carousels
  • Supporting the planning and execution of corporate events
  • Finding innovative ways to increase our social media presence and engagement
What You Bring
  • Enrolled in post-secondary studies in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related fields
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and video editing is an asset
  • Experience managing social media platforms is an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Proactive and results-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Strong organizational skills
Additional Information
  • Must obtain and maintain a restricted area ID (RAIC)
  • Hybrid work model available (onsite and remote)
