Apex Utilities Inc. in Leduc, AB is seeking a Specialist, Communications to join our Corporate Services & Stakeholder Relations team.

You will help develop communication plans, create engaging internal and external content, manage social media, and coordinate corporate events. Requirements include a university degree in Public Relations or Communications, at least three years of related experience, and a valid Class 5 driver's license.

Qualifications

• University degree in Public Relations, Communications or related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution.
• Minimum of three (3) years related communications experience.
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License.
• CPRS and/or IABC Designation preferred.
• MS Office Suite including SharePoint, Excel, Word and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Graphic design tools such as Canva proficiency.
• Website content management proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Support development of communication plans and strategies.
• Create engaging visual and written content for internal and external communications.
• Manage and monitor social media platforms and measure performance.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for cohesive messaging.
• Ensure content aligns with brand standards and legal requirements.

• Lead planning and execution of communications-led corporate events.
