Job description
Overview

5468796 Architecture is seeking a talented and motivated Communications Specialist to join our team. We’re looking for someone who thrives on creativity, collaboration, and storytelling — a communicator who can bring our work to life across proposals, publications, award submissions, and social media. The ideal candidate would present a curated portfolio which highlights their writing and graphic skills and exemplifies their passion and proficiency for communicating about design and culture. This role is perfect for someone with the drive and creativity to help shape how our practice is seen nationally and internationally, while maintaining strong ties to our communities in Winnipeg.

Responsibilities
  • Develop clear, compelling, and visually engaging proposals for EOIs, RFQs, and RFPs.
  • Craft award submissions, media content, and project features for industry publications.
  • Support business development efforts with partners and senior staff.
  • Manage & Expand our Digital Footprint – including managing regular updates to our website and via newsletter; conceiving and implementing social media content strategies; and selectively expanding our digital presence into relevant new platforms and content distribution models.
  • Assist in developing and implementing a yearly marketing plan, budget, and communications strategy.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all platforms and outputs.
  • Support/participate/lead grant writing and/or government funding applications for our clients and special projects.
  • Curate in-studio displays and coordinate communications/events calendars.
  • Contribute to internal processes that make the studio run smoothly — from helping answer phones to participating in office organization [like we all do].
