Job Description:

Phreesia, a leading health technology company, is looking for a Communications Specialistto play an integral role in supporting our communications strategy and building awareness of our brand. This individual will have demonstrated experience in core communications functions, including public relations and media relations. The Communications Specialist will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects across various areas of our organization, including internal communications, client stories and recruiting support. We’re looking for a strong writer, skilled storyteller and detail-oriented self-starter who can hit the ground running. The ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and a positive attitude are essential.

What You'll Do:

  • Own our awards and recognition programs, including identifying opportunities and drafting submissions
  • Support our internal communications efforts, including by assisting with our bi-weekly all-company calls and quarterly town halls, and owning various email communications
  • Create high-quality communications materials, such as key messages, FAQs, one-pagers and talking points, that align with our organizational goals
  • Develop corporate social media content that highlights our employees, our career opportunities and our values
  • Leverage innovative storytelling techniques to amplify Phreesia to external audiences
  • Support our reputation management efforts
  • Execute PR, media relations and other earned media functions including cultivating relationships with journalists; developing pitch ideas; pitching client-driven stories to healthcare trade and business media outlets; fielding incoming media inquiries; and securing impactful media placements
  • Leverage communications tactics to support HR and Recruiting team goals
  • Assist with crisis communications and issues management, as needed

What You'll Bring:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant communications experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications or related field
  • Exceptional writing, editing and verbal communication skills
  • Healthcare comms and agency experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated track record of media placements in relevant publications
  • Experience distilling complex topics into engaging content that targets different audiences
  • Creativity and attention to detail
  • Ability to self-start and excel in a fast-paced environment
