Job summary

BuzzClan in Calgary is seeking an experienced Communications Specialist to support the SAP Plus Program. The role shapes communications strategy, QA of materials, and engagement with frontline and executive stakeholders within a large-scale transformation.

The position requires developing and executing communication strategies, managing a 90-day rolling plan, and coordinating cross-functional and external partnerships. Hybrid work includes three onsite days in Calgary.

Responsibilities

• Create the strategic approach to communications and engagement for the SAP Plus program.
• Develop and execute communication strategies to support the SAP Plus Program's objectives.
• Build and manage the 90-day rolling communications and engagement plan.
• Create, edit, and distribute communication materials including program updates.
• Draft and refine senior-leadership messaging, presentations, and reports for senior leadership.
• Coordinate communication efforts between internal teams, external partners, and board members.
• Build communications best practice and consistency across all functional areas on the program.
• Maintain consistent branding and tone across all program communications.
• Build effective partnerships with the Change Specialists on the program.
• Identify opportunities and plan for large-scale engagement events for the program (e.g. roadshows).
• Translate and adapt communications and training materials between English and Spanish as needed.
• Engage directly with frontline, technical, and field-based personnel as part of the program's broader communications reach.

Calgary, AB | Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite

We are seeking an experienced Communications Specialist to support a large-scale, multi-year, multi-functional enterprise transformation program. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience shaping communications strategy, producing and QA’ing communications materials, and engaging frontline/field-based employees as well as executive stakeholders.

Must-Have Skills

• 10+ years of Communications & Engagement experience
• Experience supporting large-scale, multi-year, multi-functional programs
• Program-level communications or corporate governance support
• Direct experience communicating with frontline, technical, field-based, or operations personnel
• Ability to communicate effectively with both ~2,000+ frontline/operations employees and executive stakeholders
• Experience developing and executing communication and engagement strategies
• Hands-on experience creating, editing, producing, and QA’ing communication materials
• Experience developing rolling communications and engagement plans
• Strong senior leadership communications, presentations, and reporting experience
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field
