Job description

Directors, Managers, Specialists & Digital Roles

Location : Newfoundland and Labrador

At NL Health Services, communication is more than sharing information - it's about building trust, guiding people through change, and making a meaningful impact. As the province's integrated health authority, NL Health Services is growing a dynamic team of communications professionals who care deeply about making a difference in the lives of Newfoundlanders and Labradorians.

Whether you lead with strategy, craft compelling content, thrive in digital spaces, or bring clarity to complexity, there's a place for you here. We're hiring across a variety of roles and levels, including :

1. Communication Directors

Lead communications in geographic zones, across functional areas, or across major provincial initiatives. You'll shape strategy, advise senior leaders, manage media relations, and promote timely, transparent communication. Directors excel in complex environments, build strong relationships, and turn ideas into action.

2. Communication Managers

Develop and deliver communications plans that support key projects, events, or internal initiatives. You'll write, coordinate, and execute messaging that aligns with organizational priorities - whether it's employee engagement, public outreach, branding, or digital health. Adaptability, collaboration, and clear writing are essential.

Lead the development, implementation, and daily operations of NL Health Service's digital communication platforms - from websites and apps to analytics systems. You'll manage digital communication projects from start to finish, ensure quality standards, integrate innovative solutions, and drive platform performance. A background in digital communications project management, technology integration, and change leadership is key.

Focus on crafting and managing content across digital platforms - including social media, websites, and other online channels. You'll lead digital campaigns, ensure alignment with organizational priorities, and drive online engagement through compelling storytelling and smart strategy. This role blends creativity with technical know-how, and requires a strong grasp of messaging, measurement, and digital trends.

5. Communications Specialists

Support daily communications activities across a range of specialty areas - from media relations to digital content, employee engagement, and social media. You're a hands-on contributor who brings ideas to life, keeps messages aligned, and enjoys fast-paced, high-impact work. Curiosity, collaboration, and comfort with technology are musts.

This is a unique opportunity to join a health-care system in transformation, and to do work that matters. We’re looking for people who are thoughtful, proactive, and committed to supporting better health outcomes through the power of communication.
