A growing educational nonprofit is looking for a Communications Officer to support outreach and promotion of programs aimed at individuals with learning differences. LDS - Learn. Develop. Succeed. is a growing, innovative, research-based, educational nonprofit serving children, youth and adults with diagnosed or suspected learning differences such as dyslexia and dyscalculia and other brain-based differences like ADHD and ASD.

Job Overview & Role
The Communications Officer will play a vital role in supporting LDS’ communications team in promoting our programs and organization, developing online learning assets, and developing a database for testimonials.

Key responsibilities include :
This position requires a collaborative approach, working closely with the communications team to align efforts with LDS’ strategic goals. It offers an opportunity to contribute to meaningful initiatives that promote equitable education and community engagement while supporting the success of individuals with learning differences.
Start date : As early as May 1, 2025
Reports to : Senior Manager, Communications
Hours of work : 35 hours / week plus a half-an-hour unpaid break, split evenly over Mon-Fri.
Remuneration & benefits : 27.05 / hour
Location : This position will work out of our North Vancouver location (315 - 1277 Lynn Valley Road)
Job Type : Full-time, fixed-term summer contract (12 weeks)
