What you’ll do

As a Communications Manager supporting our EVP & President of Consumer Solutions, you’ll be responsible for supporting the development and execution of strategic internal communications to the entire TCS team in partnership with the Director of Communications and the TCS VP leadership team. Together, you will embrace change and innovate through spirited teamwork as you help to cultivate a culture of appreciation and innovation, increasing engagement and building team member advocacy.

Specifically, you will:

  • Serve as a trusted collaborator to the Director of Communications in support of the EVP and President Consumer Solutions, helping to align communications strategies with business priorities, mitigating risks, and balancing competing interests to effectively connect team members to organizational objectives.
  • Support the execution of a year-long communications plan that amplifies team engagement, and complements the in-business objectives in partnership with the TCS team.
  • Become a Workvivo champion by leveraging our new communications platform to communicate with our TCS team.
  • Support in the creation and delivery of compelling, multi-channel communications (e.g., town halls, digital platforms, leadership forums) demonstrating excellent verbal, written, and visual storytelling skills across various mediums.
  • Alongside the Director, Communications, partner closely with our People & Culture team, Public Relations colleagues and in-business strategy primes to plan and execute communications across TCS, inclusive of bargaining unit team members and management professionals.
  • Develop and execute a LinkedIn strategy for EVP & President Consumer Solutions in collaboration with the Director, Communications.
  • Attain comprehensive knowledge of the issues facing the customer service, labour relations, and technology sector, understand industry trends and effective people practices.

You have:

  • 5+ years of communications experience.
  • University degree and/or post graduate certificate in an accredited public relations, communications, marketing or journalism designation or extensive related business experience in a senior communications or marketing communications role.
  • Proven success in strategic use of communications to positively impact corporate culture with consistent execution across a diverse team.
  • Analytical ability to produce performance reports and track the success of communications activities.

Great-to-have

  • Knowledge of G Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Monday.com, Workvivo.

Salary Range: $72,000-$108,000

Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 12%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
