We work to fulfill our mission by allocating grants to non-profit organizations, investing the foundation's endowment, supporting collaboration within the pro-democracy ecosystem, and carrying out advocacy efforts when our voice adds value.

About the position

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Communications Manager assumes overall responsibility for the planning and implementation of the Foundation’s communications.

This generalist role combines strategic thinking and execution. This person manages the Foundation's day-to-day communications, organizes and prioritizes their work autonomously, and brings in external resources as needed for projects requiring specialized expertise.

Strategic and open to experimentation, they demonstrate sound and informed judgment. Able to navigate fluently through a diversity of political and ideological perspectives, they know how to advance our mission with conviction without aligning the organization with partisan interests.

Having a sharp eye for design and tone, this person will ensure that the Foundation’s brand is embodied visually and editorially across touchpoints with various audiences. Their responsibilities notably include content creation, light graphic design, digital platform management, document and report production, and media relations management.

Review documents drafted by the team, including materials intended for the Board of Directors, to ensure editorial and visual consistency.

Develop, evolve, and maintain the brand guidelines and communications templates to ensure consistency and brand excellence across all media.

Ensure strict adherence to brand identity, stylistic clarity, and accessibility standards across all channels.

An excellent ability to grasp strategic issues and adapt communications to different target audiences, contexts, and objectives.

Exceptional written and visual communications skills.

The ability to build constructive and positive relationships with colleagues, media, partners, and supported organizations.

5 to 7 years of relevant experience in communications management, content creation, and social media management.

Excellent writing and editing skills.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Fluency in spoken and written French and English.
