Job description

What will you be doing?
  1. Leading the development of graphics and communication products, supporting branding and messaging for a technical team.
  2. Writing clear communication materials by interviewing scientists and engineers, reviewing technical documents, and attending meetings to ensure accurate understanding.
  3. Preparing graphical content for presentations, training, and marketing materials, including animations.
  4. Reviewing and improving communication products for clarity, organization, and correctness.
  5. Interviewing subject matter experts to inform content creation.
  6. Developing communication products and supporting curriculum delivery, including:
  • Training staff on graphical communication.
  • Creating design templates for training presentations.
  • Managing the preparation and delivery of training materials.
  • Reviewing contributions from others for consistency and effectiveness.
  • Transitioning PowerPoint materials to e-learning formats using tools like Articulate Storyline.
  • Designing human-machine interfaces for applications incorporating human factors principles.
  • Producing video materials to showcase team skills and capabilities.
  • Developing branding and marketing materials, and maintaining the marketing website.
  • Participating in project meetings to stay informed and provide relevant input.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
  • What We Are Looking For
    • Education: A university degree or college diploma in Communications, Journalism, or Graphic Arts.
    • Experience: 2-5 years in related roles, team collaboration, UX/UI design, web design, and video production experience is advantageous.
    • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong organizational, writing, graphics, and animation skills; proficiency in MS Office, Articulate Storyline, UX/UI development, video editing, and web development is preferred. Ability to learn new software, manage multiple projects, and communicate effectively is essential.
    • Security Clearance: Eligibility for Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance, requiring a 3-5 year verifiable history in Canada or other specified countries.
