We are seeking a creative, organized, and community‑minded Communications Coordinator to lead and enhance communication initiatives across the Nation. This role is responsible for developing engaging content, promoting community programs and events, managing digital communication channels, and ensuring members receive accurate, timely, and culturally relevant information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and distribute community newsletters and communication materials.
  • Create content for social media, websites, posters, and promotional campaigns.
  • Gather stories, photos, and updates from departments and community programs.
  • Support communication and promotion of community events and initiatives.
  • Design digital and print materials, including graphics, PDFs, and presentations.
  • Ensure information shared with the community is accurate, timely, and professional.
  • Maintain consistent branding and messaging across all communication platforms.
Qualifications
  • Diploma, Degree, or relevant training in Communications, Marketing, Media Studies, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience may be considered in place of formal education.
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Experience with social media platforms and digital content creation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and graphic design tools is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of Indigenous communities and cultural awareness is considered an asset.
