Job description

Overview

As part of PepsiCo Canada’s Communications team, the Communications Associate Manager will be responsible for supporting employee and external communications for the One PepsiCo Canada business. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, strategist and communications generalist with experience in internal communications, brand PR, content creation, and engagement measurement.

Contract position for 12 months.

Responsibilities

  • Support employee communications channel strategy and execution for key initiatives including the PepsiCo Canada weekly newsletter, employee-facing digital signage, and ongoing employee engagement and awareness events and activities
  • Support digital communications including external recruitment social content, corporate website updates/maintenance, develop content calendar (Viva Engage and LinkedIn) and write posts/create images for senior leaders
  • Support communications strategy for Social Impact initiatives to advance corporate reputation efforts in Canada
  • Support executive visibility initiatives (thought leadership, conferences, etc.)
  • Approve and review internal written and digital content across HR, Total Rewards, Community, and more.
  • Oversee monitoring and measurement
  • Support transformation communications
  • Provide functional comms support across Foods and Beverages

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications, Journalism or related field
  • 6-8 years of professional communications experience, including internal communications, employee engagement, and measurement
  • Exceptional communications skills, strong writer who can develop content quickly for various audiences and channels
  • Ability to work, network and communicate effectively at all levels within the organization
  • Passion for sharing best practices and insights to support all global and market teammates
  • Highly responsive, flexible and agile thinker, with effective collaboration skills
  • Creative thinker who’s not afraid to bring new ideas to the table
  • Able to learn complex subjects and distill them into messages that resonate with internal audiences
  • Motivated self-starter with ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and make decisions independently
  • Familiarity with measuring communication effectiveness through analytics and feedback mechanisms
