We are seeking an experienced communications professional to shape brand messaging and strengthen audience engagement across digital and media channels. In this fully remote role, you will develop compelling content, manage online communities, coordinate press communications, and lead strategic campaigns that increase awareness of products and initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, legal, customer support, and leadership, to deliver consistent and impactful communications. The role offers significant ownership, allowing you to manage projects from initial planning through execution, measurement, and post-campaign analysis. You will use audience insights and performance metrics to refine strategies and identify new opportunities for engagement. This is an opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven technology environment that values trust, inclusivity, autonomy, and clear communication.

Accountabilities
  • Develop engaging, accessible social media copy and communications materials that explain products, features, and initiatives clearly and without unnecessary jargon.

  • Manage social media mentions, online communities, and audience interactions across platforms such as X, Facebook, Reddit, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Threads, and Bluesky.

  • Plan and coordinate proactive announcements, product launches, and communications campaigns across press, social media, and community channels.

  • Manage incoming press requests, pitch relevant stories to journalists, and build and maintain strong media relationships.

  • Lead social media and communications projects from initial scoping and planning through execution, performance evaluation, and post-project reviews.

  • Develop and maintain content calendars, coordinate approval workflows, and manage multiple campaigns simultaneously in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Track and analyze social and earned media performance, including reach, engagement, sentiment, and campaign impact.

  • Prepare regular performance reports with actionable insights, recommendations, and opportunities to improve future communications.

  • Monitor online culture and emerging conversations, using sound judgment to determine when and how to engage.

  • Coordinate with product, design, legal, support, and leadership teams to ensure communications are accurate, timely, and aligned with broader objectives.

Requirements:
  • At least six years of professional experience in communications, including public relations and social media management, ideally within the technology sector.

  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to communicate complex products and concepts in a clear, concise, and engaging way.

  • Hands-on experience developing social media content and managing communities across multiple platforms, including X, Facebook, Reddit, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Threads, and Bluesky.

  • Proven experience in media relations, including pitching journalists, responding to press inquiries, and developing relationships with media contacts.

  • Strong analytical skills and experience measuring social media and earned media performance, interpreting engagement and sentiment data, and evaluating campaign effectiveness.

  • Ability to translate performance data into clear reports, strategic insights, and practical recommendations.

  • Deep understanding of online culture, digital communities, and audience behavior, with sound judgment in managing public conversations.

  • Strong project management skills, including experience coordinating multiple campaigns, content calendars, deadlines, and approval processes.

  • Demonstrated ability to take full ownership of projects from kickoff through delivery and post-project evaluation.

  • Excellent collaboration, organization, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote, cross-functional environment.

  • Willingness to work an average of 40 hours per week, attend video meetings with cameras on, and travel approximately twice a year for company-wide gatherings and team retreats.

  • Ability to successfully complete a background check as a condition of employment.

Benefits:
  • Annual compensation: €113,750 for Europe and the rest of the world, including Brazil, under the stated regional compensation structure.

  • Equity: Stock options offered as part of the compensation package.

  • Remote work: Fully remote position available to eligible candidates based in Brazil.

  • Flexible schedule: No fixed core working hours, with an expected full-time commitment of approximately 40 hours per week.

  • Home office support: Allowance for setting up a suitable workspace.

  • Co-working allowance: Financial support for eligible co-working arrangements.

  • Team connection: Opportunities to participate in an annual all-hands gathering and a team retreat, typically involving two trips per year of approximately four to five days each.
