What You’ll Do

Reporting to the Director of Culture & Engagement, the Communication + Culture Specialist will connect various aspects of company culture, storytelling, and branding across 35 locations in Canada and the US. Responsibilities include messaging development, storytelling, event management, media liaison, platform ownership, project coordination, and change management.

Location: Preferably in Vancouver, BC, at our Head Office. Open to candidates near any Metrie location in North America. This role requires four days in the office per week.

Responsibilities:
  • Create compelling content: Write, Edit, Design, leveraging AI solutions.
  • Develop impactful messaging aligned with business understanding.
  • Build and support relationships with leaders across the company.
  • Research and implement trends in culture and communications, focusing on technology.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to enhance brand visibility and showcase Metrie as an employer.
  • Support People & Culture team with change management and program optimization.
  • Manage and develop communication technologies: digital signage, content library, MS Teams.
  • Organize corporate events, including the 2026 Centennial celebration in Vancouver.
  • Coordinate strategic communications projects, ensuring timely and within budget delivery.
  • Assist large-scale projects with effective communication strategies.
  • Uphold brand standards and best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, or related field.
  • 3+ years in communications, digital content, or event/project management.
  • Experience with digital tools, design, content management, and AI tools is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong writing, editing, and content creation abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Passion for creating a positive, impactful workplace.

Base pay: $65,000–$75,000, with potential bonuses. Compensation depends on skills, experience, location.
