The Peel District School Board (PDSB) is a racially, culturally and linguistically diverse board that serves approximately 148,000 students and 17,000+ employees. Job Summary
Reporting to the Manager of Purchasing, the Commodity Assistant is responsible for supporting various procurement and contract management functions with a focus on procurement compliance, vendor and contract system maintenance, and data analysis. The role involves facilitating informal competitive procurements, managing surplus disposals, maintaining purchasing systems, contract management, procurement activity analysis and reporting, and supporting internal and external stakeholders with procurement guidance. This position ensures adherence to Board purchasing policies and Broader Public Sector directives while delivering value-driven procurement services to user groups.
