Commissioning Technician

Agilus is recruiting for a Commissioning Technician in the Construction Industry in Niagara, Ontario. Ensure all piping and equipment in the Niagara projects are installed and operate perfectly. Use your technical skills to test, document, and oversee system functionality. Apply now!

A typical day:

1. Develop and perform all functional testing procedures for all systems installed on a project.
2. Consult diagrams, technical documents, schematics, manuals, standards and codes.
3. Compile all test results in accordance with manufacturer’s guidelines and project scope and prepare appropriate documentation.
4. Develop deficiency list and coordinate completion of outstanding items.
5. Review and analyze data and prepare technical reports.
6. Oversee and coordinate air and hydronic balancing.
7. Manage external control vendor programming team.
8. Complete all written documentation required to document process completion.

Successful candidates will have:

1. Completion of an Industrial Instrumentation Technology program and/or any Red Seal Trade.
2. 3 to 5 years’ experience in a multi project construction environment.
3. In-depth knowledge of control systems and hydronic principles.
4. Ability to read and interpret large scale project drawings and specifications.
5. Knowledge of construction industry standards.
6. Familiarity with the P3 construction model.
7. Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team.
8. Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with a diverse team of contributors.
