Job description

Adecco is currently hiring a full-time skilled and experienced Commissioning & Systems Lead to oversee the commissioning, integration, and handover of complex systems and infrastructure for our client in Sarnia, ON.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring all systems function according to design specifications, safety standards, and operational requirements. TO this role you should bring strong leadership, technical expertise, and cross-functional collaboration skills to guide teams through project commissioning phases from planning to completion.   • Location: Sarnia, ON
  • Shift: Monday to Friday
  • Job type: Long term contract | Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Commissioning and Systems Completion planning & execution
  • Lead development and implementation of Commissioning and Systems Completion philosophy, key processes, plans and tools applying best practices
  • Award Commissioning and Systems Completions Contract and onboard Contractor
  • Primary interface with Commissioning and Systems Completions Contractor and strong interface with Engineering, Construction & Modularization Contractors for completion of required check sheets
  • Ensures SC database (Hexagon) set-up accurately and reflects commissioning scope
  • Coordinate plans for MC to T/O; ensure alignment with project commitments
  • Build out commissioning schedule and align with construction MC schedule
  • Coordinates pre-comm & dry comm activities with commissioning contractor
  • Responsible for transition of facility to Ops S/U Team, including system turnover planning
  • Responsible to identify and mitigate commissioning and startup risk issues.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of commissioning and systems completions experience
  • Refining or Chemicals Plant experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Advanced proficiency in Hexagon Systems Completion (SC) database
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and coordination abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Adaptable to tight deadlines, shifting priorities, and high-pressure environments
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)
  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
