Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Commissioning Manager to join our team! In this role you will oversee the commissioning phase of wastewater and sewerage line projects. The Commissioning Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all systems and components related to wastewater treatment plants, sewerage lines, and related infrastructure meet operational, safety, and regulatory standards. This role will involve coordinating the start-up activities, conducting testing and verification, and ensuring the proper handover to the client or operations team.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Managing and overseeing the Commissioning of large-scale Energy projects across multiple EPC contractors. The major components of these projects will consist of:
  • 400kV, 220kV Grid Stations
  • 400/132/33kV Grid stations
  • 132/33kV Substation
  • Develop Commissioning strategy and plan in coordination with multiple EPC contractors.
  • Establish testing and commissioning procedure in line with the requirements of the projects and Utility Companies.
  • Ensure that the EPC contractors comply with the specifications and regulations of the Utility Companies, safety and project requirements to have a seamless commissioning and handover process.
  • Review testing and commissioning plans established by EPC Contractors and ensure alignment with the project commissioning plan and strategy and timeline.
  • Perform risk assessment related to all commissioning activities.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of the commissioning activities, testing procedures, test records and results, compliance reports and corrective action logs, progress reports.
  • Review and approve handover documentation such as As-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, technical data sheets, vendor information etc.
  • Coordinate with all the project stakeholders and provide guidance to the contractors.
  • Hold weekly coordination and progress meetings with the stakeholders and contractors.
  • Coordinate with the design and construction teams and resolve any technical issues in a timely manner and make any modifications or corrective action if required.
  • Oversee preliminary and final acceptance process ensuring that all the systems meet the project requirements.
  • Conduct training and workshops for the operations and maintenance teams to ensure a smooth transition from the commissioning to the operations.
  • 400kV, 220kV, 132 kV Cables at multiple locations.
  • 400kV, 220 kV OHL works.
  • Water pipelines and Pumping stations.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering/ Electrical Engineering, or related field with 15+ years of related work experience in the commissioning of electrical systems networks and associated systems preferably in large scale industrial, infrastructure or energy projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical power transmission, distribution, grid stations, primary substations, EHV cables, OHL.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in wastewater management and sewerage systems.
  • Strong communication skills and experience in managing multiple contractors on complex energy projects.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
