Job summary

Kiewit invites a Commissioning Coordinator Co-op to join the Durham Region project, supporting handover, commissioning and turnover activities from the Darlington site office. You’ll develop documentation, write procedures, and help implement the CCM digital tool with the project team.

You’ll assist with budgeting, reporting, and administrative tasks while collaborating with construction and commissioning staff to ensure smooth handovers.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a post-secondary degree or diploma in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint applications an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Strong interpersonal skills in communicating with a large team.
  • Knowledge of Aconex, Bluebeam, Excel is an asset.
  • Able to read blueprints is an asset.
  • Valid G license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to work in-person at site office/trailer.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of Transfer of Care Custody and Control (TCCC) activities including walkdowns, document package preparation, punchlist administration
  • Assist in the implementation of Construction Handover and System Turnover processes including walkdowns, document package preparation, punchlist administration
  • Assist with the configuration of data within CCM including commissioning package / subsystem scoping, punchlist status, milestone definition
  • Interact with the site digital team to prepare the Construction & Completions Management (CCM) digital tool for implementation by the Commissioning Test Group
  • Assist in the configuration, preparation and issuance of reports from the CCM digital tool in support of TCCC, Handover and Turnover activities
  • Interact with the Commissioning Test Group to prepare for Device Component Testing and Pre-Operational Testing activities.
  • Participate in meetings and prepare meeting minutes.

Position Overview

Base Compensation:$21.00/hr -$26.00/hr
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
