Job description

WSP is currently seeking an experienced Commissioning Agent/Authority, to join our Buildings Commissioning Team in Vancouver. Reporting to the Vancouver Commissioning Department Manager, this position will be responsible for achieving project deadlines and financial expectations for commissioning and commissioning-related services, primarily on new building construction projects ranging in type, size, and complexity. Projects will primarily be located in the Lower Mainland; however, occasional travel to other provinces and territories may be required. This is a customer-facing role that requires collaboration with both internal and external resources to deliver project expectations. Responsibilities
  • Execute commissioning services for diverse new building projects.
  • Lead multiple projects, ensuring deadlines and financial goals.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams.
  • Build and maintain client relationships.
  • Achieve project objectives as per documentation and rating systems.
  • Develop clear commissioning documentation.
  • Conduct and document testing.
  • Lead meetings and provide expert advice.
  • Verify equipment installation and start-ups.
  • Create and conduct functional performance tests.
  • Review system trend logs for performance validation.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of building commissioning experience.
  • A degree or diploma in a related field and/or a professional designation (such as: E.I.T, P.Eng, AScT, CTech).
  • Credentials related to commissioning, such as: ACP, CCP, CxA, BCxP, LEED AP, are an asset.
  • Experience in engineering, testing and balancing, building operations, controls, maintenance, or system installation.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Knowledge of HVAC&R, domestic hot water, lighting controls, and building automation systems.
  • Knowledge of high and low voltage electrical and data systems.
  • Comfortable working in mechanical rooms and using ladders.
  • Possess a valid Class 5 Driver's License.
  • Ability to enter the USA for possible occasional work assignments will be advantageous.

Salary range (in British Columbia): $82,900 to $114,000

The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. The salary range provided in this job posting may be subject to change for business purposes
