Job description

Impact Kitchen is on a mission to empower our community to eat healthy, nutritionally-dense foods with a focus on quality and sustainability. Founded in 2015 by Josh Broun and Frank Toskan, Impact Kitchen operates five restaurants in Toronto and partners with major sports teams and athletes through catering and culinary programs.

Position: Commissary Production Team Lead

The Commissary Production Team Lead (CPTL) ensures high culinary standards, creating consistent, delicious dishes for dine-in and take-out, supporting back-of-house operations, and collaborating with team members. This role involves working at hot and cold kitchen stations, maintaining food safety, sanitation, and freshness. Candidates should be physically fit, efficient, flexible, and excellent at time management in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation

Earn $21.00/hour plus a substantial discount on Impact Kitchen products.

Core Responsibilities
  1. Prepare, produce, and execute menu items following detailed recipes and standards.
  2. Operate and maintain dishwashing and cleaning areas.
  3. Perform custodial duties as needed.
  4. Manage deliveries and storage, ensuring FIFO rotation.
  5. Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of kitchen equipment and spaces.
  6. Adhere to food safety and workplace safety guidelines.
Skills & Requirements
  1. At least 1 year of kitchen experience with basic cooking and cleaning skills.
  2. Knowledge of food safety and public health practices.
  3. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  5. Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  6. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  7. Work permit required; Food Handlers Certification preferred.
  8. Availability to work days, evenings, and weekends (Monday to Sunday, 9 am to 5 pm).
