Eton College invites applications for a Commis Chef to join the kitchen team. You will assist in preparation, cooking and service, supporting core feeding for pupils and staff and event catering.

The role emphasizes high standards of food quality, safety and customer service in a busy college environment. The ideal candidate has kitchen experience, a current Food Safety certificate and a passion for delivering top-quality meals.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience in a similar role.
• NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation and Cookery or equivalent.
• Food Safety and Hygiene Certificate required.
• Genuine interest in good food and high standards.
• Commitment to hygiene, safety and quality.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsabilités

• Prepare, cook and serve food as delegated by senior chefs.
• Support core catering services for pupils, staff and events.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Health & Safety procedures.
• Maintain hygienic work areas and safe equipment handling.
• Monitor stock levels and assist in reducing food waste.
• Undertake training to develop culinary skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate with team to deliver high-quality catering.
